Naal-di-saanan

(nAl-di-sAnan)

The adjective 'suicidal' defies conventions by having root words completely seperate from its noun form. Instead of describing a person as being "of suicide", Syan instead labels them as "without light".

This is not demoralising or villainising suicide victims, but instead honouring the dead since it is taboo in Syan culture to desrcibe someone in refrence to how they died. This is so that they may instead be rembered solely for the life they lived.
